British Columbia shows a strong interest and appreciation of the French language. The province has become, in the last five years, a national leader in matters of French language immersion, with a continuing increase in the registration in these programs. With more than 38,000 students, the BC French speaking community is now working in collaboration with Simon Fraser University to provide post-secondary education services in French. The creation of RésoSanté Colombie-Britannique will also improve access to health care services provided in French.
