In 2004, the Nova Scotia government voted a law to provide access to governmental services in French for its Acadian and French population. Thanks to this law, the province contributes to the protection of the French language for future generations. That same year, the province was hosting the Acadian World Convention, attracting worldwide attention. Since 1996, Nova Scotians have access to education in French, from kindergarten to University.
