Want to explore the world and participate in the development of Francophone countries in need? Are you a young French adult under the age of 34 ready to live an enriching human experience while doing your part to build a better world? Well, the International Organisation of La Francophonie (IOF) offers you the chance to change the world in your way with its international volunteer program.
Powered by the OIF, in partnership with the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie and with the support of the Association internationale des maires francophones and TV5 Monde, the Volontariat international de la Francophonie’s Program exists since 2006. It enables young Francophones to discover the world for a year by committing to volunteer in a project related to their career choice. 37 young people have already played their part as volunteers in as many as 14 countries throughout the Francophone world.
Promoting the Language and Everything That Surrounds it
Through their involvement, Francophone youth volunteers promote the French language, cultural and linguistic diversity, peace, democracy and human rights. They also contribute to the development of education, sustainable development, solidarity and new technologies. Their contribution to francophone communities in development also represents an ideal opportunity to promote economic, social and cultural growth for those in need.
How to Register?
To take part in the adventure, you must act quickly registration ends May 22nd 2012. You can view all the eligibility criteria here. You can also choose one of the 150 volunteer positions available in a country situated on one of the five continents.
