School or public performance in French – Trompe-la-mort
Be among the first to see Mehdi perform songs from his new album Trompe-la-mort (coming out in spring 2026). With his edgy electro-pop vibe, crushing groove and poignant lyrics, Mehdi is a born performer who combines intensity, humour and high-energy dance moves on stage. This poetic live performance can be adapted to the venue (classroom, library, gym or auditorium).
Students are invited to experience the Francophonie in an energizing atmosphere with music and deep lyrics that talk about survival, the pluralist Francophone identity and the courage to be yourself.
- Duration: 60 minutes (can be adjusted as needed)
- Audience: All audiences
- Fee: $2000 + taxes
Note : The performance is available in French only but can be adapted for French immersion schools.
School workshops – Parti pour de bon
To complement the performance, Mehdi offers Parti pour de bon, an interactive talk designed to stimulate discussion and encourage students to voice their thoughts in French.
This workshop is based on the TFO special Parti pour de bon, which is produced in collaboration with the RVF and hosted by Mehdi. The show acts as a digital handbill for the RVF and offers a virtual sneak peak of the in-class workshop.
The concept
“If had known then what I know now …” Drawing on his experience with immigration, artistic creation and working with youth and neurodivergent people, Mehdi uses acoustic song to discuss the challenges faced by teenagers, identity building in minority communities and artistic expression as a survival tool.
The objectives
To demystify the creative process, encourage students to speak up and provide concrete tools to channel emotions into creativity.
To provide a safe, dynamic gathering place, where students can explore the idea that everyone has the power to rewrite their own story.
Each workshop can be adapted according to the time available, the students’ grade level and the school’s learning objectives. Feel free to let us know if you have any special needs.
