{"id":10158,"date":"2022-05-20T08:56:49","date_gmt":"2022-05-20T12:56:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rvf.ca\/?post_type=nouvelles&#038;p=10158"},"modified":"2022-05-20T08:56:49","modified_gmt":"2022-05-20T12:56:49","slug":"investing-in-our-future-a-report-on-canadas-official-language-commitments","status":"publish","type":"nouvelles","link":"https:\/\/rvf.ca\/en\/news\/investing-in-our-future-a-report-on-canadas-official-language-commitments\/","title":{"rendered":"Investing in Our Future: A report on Canada\u2019s official language commitments\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Canada\u2019s Commissioner of Official Languages Raymond Th\u00e9berge has released <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clo-ocol.gc.ca\/en\/publications\/other\/2022\/action-plan-ol-2018-2023\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">a new report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> on Canada\u2019s implementation of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/canadian-heritage\/services\/official-languages-bilingualism\/official-languages-action-plan\/2018-2023.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Action Plan for Official Languages 2018-2023: Investing in Our Future<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"color: #008080\"><strong>The report was informed by meetings with 130 stakeholders, including 5 federal institutions:<\/strong> <\/span>Canadian Heritage; Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada; the Public Health Agency of Canada; Employment and Social Development Canada; and the Department of Justice Canada. Th\u00e9berge and his office focused their comments on key factors that contribute to the vitality of official language minority communities.
