{"id":10205,"date":"2022-06-06T14:13:29","date_gmt":"2022-06-06T18:13:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rvf.ca\/?post_type=nouvelles&#038;p=10205"},"modified":"2022-06-06T14:13:29","modified_gmt":"2022-06-06T18:13:29","slug":"fete-franco-albertaine-is-back","status":"publish","type":"nouvelles","link":"https:\/\/rvf.ca\/en\/news\/fete-franco-albertaine-is-back\/","title":{"rendered":"F\u00eate franco-albertaine is back!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The summer of 2022 marks the return of many in-person celebrations, including one of Alberta\u2019s biggest Francophone festivals, the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fetefrancoalbertaine.ca\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">F\u00eate franco-albertaine<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The F\u00eate brings hundreds of visitors together for a weekend of camping enhanced by artistic, cultural, and sports programming entirely in French\u2014including games, activities, crafts, contests, karaoke, geocaching, yoga, local music, and bonfires.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The festival started in 1989 when a group of young Francophones, in partnership with Francophonie jeunesse de l&#8217;Alberta (FJA) , planned a camping vacation at Skeleton Lake. 75 guests showed up, and the F\u00eate franco-albertaine was born! You can see photos and videos of past festivals <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fetefrancoalbertaine.ca\/medias\/photos-et-videos\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This year\u2019s festival happens from July 7 to 10 at the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/davidthompsonresort.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">David Thompson Resort<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> 45 km from the town of Nordegg in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. New this year, festival-goers can check out what local entrepreneurs and artisans have to offer at a free <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fetefrancoalbertaine.ca\/horaire\/marche-francophone-albertain\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Alberta Francophone Market<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. The market will feature twenty exhibitors from across the province.
