June 24th is Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day, and it\u2019s also the launch of the fifth annual <\/span>Tout pour la musique<\/span><\/a>, a hybrid online\/in-person festival of music that invites all Canadians, regardless of mother tongue, to come together and show their pride in and solidarity with the Francophonie. I watched the show last year and it was fantastic.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s main event will be recorded at Regina\u2019s oldest music venue, the <\/span>Exchange<\/span><\/a>. If you are lucky enough to live in or near that city, you are<\/span> invited to join<\/span><\/a> the <\/span>Conseil culturel fransaskois<\/span><\/a> for a networking cocktail party and an exclusive screening of the Tout Pour la Musique show. There will be 15 other screenings in communities across Canada, with locations to be announced soon. You can <\/span>also watch<\/span><\/a> the show from the comfort of your living room.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tout pour la Musique is a project of Winnipeg-based <\/span>Productions Rivard<\/span><\/a> and broadcasts each year on <\/span>Unis TV<\/span><\/a>. It is presented by the <\/span>Foundation Dialogue<\/span><\/a> with support from the Department of Canadian Heritage and the Government of Canada.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s artists include Alpha Yaya Diallo, Mimi O’Bonsawin, \u00c9tienne Fletcher, and Folle Avoine, and I\u2019ll write about the details next week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
