From her youth, Micheline Marchildon has had a passion for making people laugh.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The comedian, actor, TV host and <\/span>RVF spokesperson<\/span><\/a> is well known for her extraordinary gift for physical comedy, her self-deprecating humour, and her deep passion for sharing her experience as a Franco-Manitoban.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Growing up speaking French in Saint-Boniface, she was inspired by the comedy styles of Michel Courtemanche, Vincent Dureault, and Janine Tougas.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you like a bit of slapstick with your comedy (as I do), check out Radio-Canada\u2019s <\/span>Le H\u00e9 Ho Show<\/span><\/a>, a television comedy project to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Festival du Voyageur, the largest winter festival in Western Canada. Micheline appears, along with Martin Bruy\u00e8re, Yvan L\u00e9cuyer and Mari\u00e8ve Lafl\u00e8che, in short sketches set in the world of the Festival du Voyageur (with some contemporary twists.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Marise Guay, an author of <\/span>The Language Portal of Canada<\/span><\/a>\u2019s <\/span>Our Languages Blog, <\/span><\/i>recently<\/span> spoke<\/span><\/a> with Micheline, touching on the topics of linguistic insecurity as a source of comedic inspiration and her pride in being a part of this year\u2019s Rendez-vous de la Francophonie.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Micheline is travelling with Luc Leblanc for the <\/span>Tourn\u00e9e Juste pour rire des RVF<\/span><\/a>, which ends at the Franco Centre in Iqaluit NU on March 30th.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
