It\u2019s April, but there is no need to say goodbye to the month of the Francophonie yet \u2014 much of the content on the RVF website is available all year long.<\/span><\/p>\n

For example, Vanessa Lisabelle and I interviewed Francophones, Acadians and Francophiles from diverse cultural, community and entrepreneurial backgrounds for the RVF\u2019s <\/span>Balados Franco<\/span><\/a> (Franco podcasts).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Vanessa\u2019s podcasts, done in French, feature comedian <\/span>Mona De Grenoble<\/span><\/a>, graphic novelist <\/span>Benjamin Boutin<\/span><\/a>, president of the <\/span>F\u00e9d\u00e9ration de la jeunesse canadienne-fran\u00e7aise, <\/span><\/i>Simon Th\u00e9riault<\/span><\/a>, and many other cultural leaders. She has a lively and engaging hosting style that makes for great listening.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I interviewed eight bilingual and multilingual people (in English) about their relationships to French and their linguistic journeys. My interviewees included <\/span>Shelley Robinson<\/span><\/a>, former Executive Director of the National Campus and Community Radio Association; <\/span>Francella Fiallos<\/span><\/a>, Program Officer and Communications Director at the Community Radio Fund of Canada; and <\/span>Dr. Claire-Marie Brission<\/span><\/a>, host of the North American Francophone Podcast and a Preceptor in French at Harvard University.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Fans of Francophone music may want to check out this year\u2019s RVF <\/span>Francophone Discoveries music playlist<\/span><\/a>. Curated by the <\/span>Association des Professionnels de la Chanson et de la Musique<\/span><\/a> and the Dialogue Foundation, the playlist includes music from many genres and artists from all over Canada. Some of my new discoveries include <\/span>Entre le mort et moi<\/span><\/i> by Fransaskois singer-songwriter <\/span>\u00c9tienne Fletcher<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Si l\u2019amour n\u2019existait pas<\/span><\/i> by Winnipeg-based <\/span>Kelly Bado<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Si tu veux tout savoir<\/span><\/i> by Franco Ontarian <\/span>C\u00e9leste L\u00e9vis<\/span><\/a>, and Nelson-based <\/span>V\u00e9ronique Trudel<\/span><\/a>, with her gorgeous ballad,<\/span> Appelle-moi.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
