{"id":9454,"date":"2022-03-01T08:27:13","date_gmt":"2022-03-01T13:27:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rvf.ca\/?post_type=nouvelles&#038;p=9454"},"modified":"2022-03-01T08:27:13","modified_gmt":"2022-03-01T13:27:13","slug":"march-the-month-of-la-francophonie","status":"publish","type":"nouvelles","link":"https:\/\/rvf.ca\/en\/news\/march-the-month-of-la-francophonie\/","title":{"rendered":"March, the month of La Francophonie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ah, it&#8217;s the month of La Francophonie. <strong><span style=\"color: #008080\">What does RVF 2022 have in store for us?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Three fabulous contests, NFB\/ONF films, the Just for Laughs Tour, the RVF Journal, community events all over Canada, and, new this year, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/rvf.ca\/en\/activities\/francophonie-podcast\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">a Francophonie Podcast<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008080\">The podcasts are available in French and there are 18 episodes.<\/span> <\/strong>Three are hosted by the RVF\u2019s 2022 spokespersons Elisapie and Neev, and discuss family traditions, oral traditions, and culinary traditions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">15 episodes are hosted by my blogging colleague, Vanessa Lisabelle. Vanessa speaks (again about traditions) with an array of Canadian musicians, artists, authors, athletes, and storytellers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Highlights of the podcast series (for me) include Vanessa\u2019s interviews with Lucie S\u00e9guin, Chief Executive Officer of Canada\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca\/bt-tb\/index-eng.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Translation Bureau<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">; Monique Poirier, Interim General and Artistic Director at <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sagouine.com\/en\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pays de la Sagouine<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, an Acadian theatrical village on an island in the middle of Bouctouche Bay, New Brunswick; Montreal-based author <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbc.ca\/books\/kim-th%C3%BAy-1.4716432\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kim Thuy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">; and Franco-Manitoban M\u00e9tis storyteller <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.robmalo.net\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rob Malo<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Have a listen if you can.
