RVF micro-grants support community projects all over Canada

The month of the Francophonie is nearly here, and the Rendez Vous de la Francophonie’s national event calendar is filling up — with support from the Dialogue Foundation’s micro-grants program.

Last fall, non-profit organisations offering French or bilingual activities were invited to apply for grants of under $2,000 to help them organise online or in-person activities to develop new audiences and expand the reach of the RVF’s 2023 celebrations. The Foundation gave out a total of $64,000 in micro-grants to support 41 projects, including two rug hooking workshops (Mar 1-8) with Elder Margaret Harrison put on by the Association Fransaskoise de Zenon Park, Saskatchewan, in partnership with Eastern Region 2 Métis Nation; an antiracism conference in Vancouver hosted by Conseil jeunesse francophone de la Colombie-Britannique; and two French Canadian dance workshops (March 18th) organised by Edmonton’s L’Association la Girandole. See all of the organisations that received funding on the Dialogue Foundation’s website.

New events are being added daily. Check the RVF’s online calendar regularly to see what’s happening in your community.
