Every year at this time, Quebec celebrates Journées de la culture with hundreds of workshops, film screenings, performances and participatory events.
Les Rendez-vous de la Francophonie and the National Film Board have teamed up to join in the celebration. From September 29 to October 1, Canadians have free access to sixteen short films and a youth program.
Explore the lives of iconic Quebec-based artists such as playwright, actor, film director, and stage director Robert Lepage, conductor and musician Yannick Nézet-Séguin, choreographer Zab Maboungou, and writer, director, filmmaker and actor Yves Sioui Durand.
And don’t miss the youth program! I highly recommend the brilliant Sur la route by award-winning animator Anita Lebeau, a tribute to sisterhood, imagination, and creativity.
There is also a CONTEST: Vote for your favourite short film and tell the RVF why it made an impression on you for a chance to win a $50 VISA gift card!
The contest runs from September 29 to October 1 inclusive.
